Samsung Behold Review

The Samsung Behold sports superb multimedia functions and one of the best touchscreens in Samsung’s lineup. The phone comes with a 5 Megapixel camera and is 3G ready. The phones main drawback is its lack of WiFi capability which leaves many disappointed. The Behold more than makes it up however with its lightning fast and smooth surfing experience.

With the introduction of the iPhone cellphone makers have been trying to emulate the iPhones success with its touchscreen technology. The Samsung Behold is one of the maker’s best when it comes to touchscreen technology. The Samsung Behold touchscreen was one of the most responsive in their lineup. Feedback and key input through the screen was also accurate.

The Samsung behold is features loaded. It boasts of a 5 Megapixel Camera and great multimedia functions. Listening and navigating through the phones music player was easy. Synchronizing with your PC’s music tracks was easy and transferring your favorites to the phone was a breeze.

The phone comes standard with a 1GB which could easily store hundreds of your favorite music tracks and loads of images. The phones memory further expands to accommodate an 8 GB memory card and exponentially increases storage area.

One area the Samsung Behold comes short is its 240 x 400 display. It scores low in comparison to the iPhones screen resolution. Downloading and playing videos on the phone also presents a problem. Converting your videos to a lower resolution is essential to maximize viewing pleasure. The phone comes with video streaming capability but viewing pixilated displays certainly dampers viewing experience.

The Samsung Behold comes with one of the highest camera resolutions in the market. On paper the 5 Megapixel camera could easily shame an average digital camera. Results however was luck luster as images were not better off by a mile from other 3 Megapixel camera phones available.

The Behold closely resembles its Samsung siblings. Its candy bar design is now familiar with Samsung owners. The phone makes full use of the phones available front panel and supports a 3 inch display. The phones face is not cluttered with buttons a welcome addition that makes it friendlier. Navigating the phone is done by a simple click of the phone and menus and icons are easily available.

The Samsung Behold also comes standard with the new TouchWiz user interface. This allows their owners an extra touch of customization and makes access of the phone features easy. Phone applications like the music player, clock, web browser, calendar, and Bluetooth are clearly displayed in the phones screen and can be launched quickly with a tap of a finger. The 3 inch display makes the QWERTY keyboard ample room and gives good spacing between keys. Keyboard layout is great with symbols and letters clearly displayed.

The Samsung Behold promises to be a good substitute to the ever popular iPhone. It also proves to be a cheaper alternative and with solid features to back it the Behold has been growing in popularity with Samsung owners.
