If you want a phone exclusively for music, then the Motorola EM330 handset is for you. This mobile phone comes with a touch-sensitive external screen, high quality audio, at a cheap price. The touch-screen feature is framed in a metal aluminum casing. You can acccess the music being played without flip opening the phone. Main display has a 176x220 pixel resolution, and a secondary display screen resolution of 96x80 pixels. With a dimension of 47x16x105 mm, it weighs at about 115 grams.

At the side of the phone are two plastic buttons used for volume and a smart key function. This is also the same as other flip-phones from Motorola. There is also a mini-USB port hidden under a rubber flap for charging and PC connection purposes. There is also a headphone port located on the other side. However the jack placement is not that good because it can be displaced when you put it in our pocket while you are listening.

The keypad is black and large enough for those with big fat fingers and are easy to locate even when you are not looking at your keypad. There is also the five-way navigation keys have the music playback controls and a red button for quick access to the music library.

The headphones are of good quality and it also has a hand-free feature. Internal memory can be expanded from the default 30 MB to 2 GB with a microSD card.

Music formats supported by this phone can be in eAAC+, MP3, MPEG4, 3GP, Wav, AAC, XMF, AAC+, H.263, and MIDI. It has a drag and drop ability that makes you save time to transfer music files into the handset.

You can also play FM radio in mono and you can use this for a ringtone later on. However, for other recordings, the quality is not that good. As usual, motorola includes the 2.0 megapixel camera. However, the camera flash is not available. It has a digital zoom up to 8 x and a video capture function.

For connectivity purposes, it uses the bluetooth feature, GPRS, EDGE for data services, and a USB. For networks, GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800, GSM 1900.

Phone calls are clear enough to be understood with a little amount of echo but it is hardly noticed. Using the speakerphone function, the audio is loud and clear. Audio transfers during phone calls is of good quality.

The battery when used only for playing music with some calls cas last up to 10 hours. Not bad for a music handset. The estimated time made by the Motorola company is 8 hours. On standby mode, the battery can last up to two weeks. The battery life is really a quality battery.

The EM330 is a good mobile phone. On a scale of 1 to 10 as 10 being the highest, this phone is at 8 or 9. This phone is ideal for teenagers and adults who loves to listen to music. Interface can be slow in some applications but it is a good mobile music phone.
