The LG Incite promises to be one of the most entertaining smartphones in the market today. Proving to be a more than capable business phone as well, the handset comes with notes, tasks, reminders and that all too immportant editing and viewing documents feature. It is powered by a Windows Mobile 6.1 system that also makes use of Wi-Fi technology to keep you in touch with work or friends.

The first thing that strikes you most is the shiny silver front panel that blends with the display to give you a mirror like appearance. Measurements for the phone are 4.21 inches in length and 2.2 inches wide with a 0.55 inch thickness. A 3 inch touchscreen dominates the face and comes with few external controls. Most navigation and input is done through the touchscreen.

Feedback is great as owners get a vibration everytime a button is touched. Viewing webpages however could have been improved with a wider display. A stylus comes with the package which makes for more accurate input and control. Phone display is clear and bright, image and video viewing is better than average. Screen resolution is 262,000 through a QVGA display. The Incites display is noticeably smaller to other small phones but is only evident during web browsing or viewing large format pictures. Viewing documents could be eye straining as the 3 inch display isn’t just suited for this feature.

Tilt your cellphone from portrait to landscape view and the unit automatically adjust the display with its built in accelerometer. Changing viewing mode is just a tip late however as delays of around a second was noticed. A quite nice touch is the screens ability to adjust to lighting conditions automatically. Sensors in the phone adjusts brightness for better clarity and improves battery life.

Messaging and input is made with a QWERTY keyboard. The LG Incite CT810 allows for two viewing modes, landscape and portrait view. Keyboard layout is different in each mode, portrait mode allows a Blackberry type keypad layout. Landscape view however made key input easier by a much simpler and more detailed QWERTY design. Keys were adequately spaced and feedback was good but the design takes a majority of the real estate and leaves little room for actually viewing the typed message.

Standard features for the LG Incite CT810 includes a Windows Mobile 6.1 System and a range of Microsoft mobile applications. These applications include Microsoft Office Mobile suite with support for Microsoft ActiveSync and Microsoft Direct Push technology. Major email clients are supported and can be accessed via Xpress Mail, Window Mobile’s email program.

The LG Incite is a 3G phone which makes it capable of video streaming and video calls to other video capable phones. Multimedia experience comes with the Windows Media Player 10 version. Listening to your favorite FM station is done with a headset connection. The phone comes equipped with a 256 MB internal storage which could be extended with up to 32 GB of microSD/SDHC cards.

A 32 Megapixel camera comes equipped with the phone. Image capture could be done in five resolutions. Image quality is controlled by five white balance presets and 5 color effects. Other features includes a self timer, zoom control and four shot modes. Image capture however does not come with an auto focus or flash. Make video recordings with the phones buit in camcorder function which shoots in four resolutions.

Call quality was excellent, voices over the phone were crystal clear. Speakers however didn’t bring the same reaction. Hooking the cellphone to Bluetooth headsets provided better calls and wireless communications. Battery life was better than average with talk times during test rated it at 9 hour talk time life.

The LG Incite CT810 is quite a looker. For a smartphone it provides users an excellent array of multimedia features which can help past the time during long drives or travels. Performing solidly as a business phone, the LG Incite’s Microsoft Office applications make short work of viewing and editing office documents. The LG Incite is sure to make head moves with its savvy form and design.
