If you’re an iPhone user who has a lot of friends from tons of social network out there, this brand new mobile apps from Yahoo! called oneConnect is surely will fit into you. Today in CTIA Wireless Show, Marco Boerries as the executive vice president of Yahoo Connected Life has presented the preview version of this app.

CNet has reported if Marco said that OneConnect could allow everybody to keep connected to the persons they care about. “It’s a socially connected address book,” he said, “The address book now comes to life.” Yahoo! oneConnect offers its users with four key features such as Full-featured address book, pulse, IM integration, and favorites.

Here are some official quick explanation for those features;

  1. Full-featured address book that integrates contacts from the user’s Yahoo! Address Book, iPhone and social networks.
  2. Pulse: A convenient way to see what’s happening on your social networks. The initial version of Yahoo! oneConnect supports networks including Bebo, Dopplr, Facebook, Flickr, Friendster, Last.fm, MySpace, Twitter and YouTube.
  3. Integrated mobile messaging with your friends via SMS and Yahoo! Messenger, including support for avatars, photos, and emoticons.
  4. Favorites: A simple way to keep your most important people close at hand to check on status, call or send a quick message or email.

oneConnect Availability

On its press release, Yahoo! has planned to make oneConnect available for more devices and countries. To date, this mobile apps only works for iPhone with iPhone 2.0 Software Update and US region. However, for other devices, I suggest you to take a look to other similar mobile apps like 8hands mobile. But be careful, one thing you should remember from such mobile apps like this is that they’re going to increase your phone bill automatically. And sometimes, you can’t even realize it.

Oh, it's the only real way to stay informed. So go on, read for a bit. It won't hurt, we promise.

Reading hasn't been this cool since smoking was first introduced. The great difference is we're pretty sure you can't die from daily reading, so go on and overdose a bit.
