There have been a number of smartphones entering the market lately and Nokia have thrown in its two-cents with the newest addition to the Nokia N-Series.nokia-n97

The Nokia N97 comes with a flurry of features, but most noticeably, it looks amazing. It features touch display on a user-friendly 3.5″ screen for quick use. If you’re going to do something a bit more in-depth, the handset will tilt to reveal a QWERTY keyboard and d-pad for simplified navigation.

Nokia have dubbed the N97 “the most advanced mobile computer” and have made an effort to keep on top of current mobile usability trends.

The camera on this handset has a very respectable 5 megapixels and features Carl Zeiss integrated optics and a dual LED flash to make sure you capture your best moments in a high quality shot.

This great spec doesn’t just need to be used for still photos, with the N97 boasting DVD quality video capture and 16:9 display.

The N97 also features GPS functionality, which is perfect for the myriad of GPS apps that are becoming more popular for meeting up with friends or touring the countryside. It also has WiFi and HSDPA capabilities.

The expected release date for this phone is the first-half of 2009, and will be priced at the higher end of the monetary spectrum.
