CNet Australia’s Joseph Hanlon reported that there will be no official launch for Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 in their region till Q1 next year. He got this tips from Sony Ericsson’s spokesperson. However, he also noted that SE’s representatives didn’t tell him why Australia should have to wait a bit longer than any region for this SE’s first Windows Mobile device.
Is it an economy issue?
Actually, I also a little bit shocked after reading Sony Ericsson’s latest announcement about Xperia X1 release date a few days ago. Well, how couldn’t I? I mean, how could a techie and prosperous country like Australia is being placed after some of other countries that its GDP (Gross Domestic product) does not even reach a half of Australia’s GDP. I’m really sorry for this, but it is quite true isn’t?
Judging from the same SE document, I could only guess that this Japan-Sweden joint venture do not use a country GDP or a like as one of the factor to decide the launch date of its most anticipated device this year. But if people’s economy isn’t included as one of it, so what are they? Can you help me to figure out this issue?
Last but not least, Mariella Moon from Mr. Gadget Australia has nudged me deeply with such closing statement on her post. Read here:
No reason was given why Australia has to wait, but the real question is, would you wait for it?
Umm, sounds very logical?
