It’s all because of that image and BGR is very lucky to secured it first on their blog. I’ve written about this rumor on September 5th, also from the same source. At that time, BGR touted that RIM together with Verizon Wireless will launch this handset on mid-October. However, by judging that image, it seems that Storm may hit US faster than that.
Blackberry Storm, aka Thunder previously, has been rumored by most bloggers in blogosphere as the honest iPhone contender from RIM. The reason for this is obvious, Storm comes up with no keypads, which also means that this is the first totally touch screen candybar handset from RIM. Besides this similarity, RIM is also known to inject this CDMA handset with accelerometer technology. It is the one that will make this device can be changed its view automatically to portrait or landscape mode when users switch it to both modes respectively.
Since Storm doesn’t sport on a QWERTY or SureType keypads like the one we used to see it on Blackberry devices, chances are that it will be perfectly good for multimedia usage rather than office or business tasks. Luckily, BlackberrySync had come up with the leaked media player image of this device.
Before Storm, RIM has just announced their first flip Blackberry device ever aka Kickstart or Pearl 8220 series for T-Mobile. And now, with the rise of Storm, let’s predict that RIM will bolster up their revenue and market share. Especially in US smartphone, a place where it is hard to find anything smart than iPhone.
Note:
Just remember that this is a rumor. One of its kind. Absolutely!
